Off the ground? Well in some respects at least.
After hours of counting pieces, boxing and labelling parts, cross referencing part a with part b we are finally ready.
The school has shown huge commitment to the project and now it's time to deliver.
With the help of so many people, today we finally started the long and arduous task if building the plane.
Just two pupils this afternoon and what job they did. Nearly completed the tail section thanks to our new compressor and pop rivet gun. The big hurdle is reading and making head and tail of the instructions. It does not help when all measurements are in imperial. So now all pupils taking part are having a crash course in imperial to metric conversion. This is the Maths part of STEM.
Next week drilling, not nearly as riveting.
